in recording her life story in the early 1990s, my grand-aunt, PHYLLiS, WAS ESTABLISHING HER LEGACY! These 17 precious minutes not only map 📍her life as a independently “babysitting”12-year old to a honor student high school 👩🏼‍🎓 , hotel room laundress, divorcee mother. AND THEN AS A BRIDE 3-times over TO THE SAME GROOM. THE FACT THAT IT IS HER VOICE, it is the sound of her voice that brings the tale to life! And allow for promising results in the PODCAST medium.
SURE, the photos and LANCASTER EAGLE-GAZETTE clippings most definitely help, but as i sit and wonder, WHAT 🎻🎼 to play, it occurred 💡 to me … PODCAST…
BUT NOT JUST OF HER STORY🗣… BUT, “all the others” as my AUNT MARY puts it.
TEMPLE OF TiCKLE BRiTHCHES will be venturing into the realm of PODCAST.
AND WITH THAT BEING SAID, I AM OFFERING MY services, effective immediately, to aid others via podcast, into creating their own life story whilst their voice still echoes in streets and bars and retirement homes throughout 🇺🇸🥫📍, bearing in mind doesn’t have to STOP there.
MY ACADEMIC CONCENTRATIONS ARE IN 🎥 🎞 and 🇺🇸 cultural studies. BUT with caveats that explore* a DRAMATURGICAL screenplay-driven independent cinema jj it guerrillas approach, at times—mostly out of happenstance, with a platform that i feel could become akin to the new art cinema.
Coupled with the ability to now “interview” [READ: PARTICIPANT-OBSERVER] subjects to create, ultimately, a canonical series of QUALITATIVE SOCIAL RESEARCH. RATHER than its, “you’re only a number” further divided by more numbers “age” quantitative data counterpart. 📊

WHAT CAN YOU DO TODAY? well, think of the eldest generations, what stories do they have to tell?—whether ancient family tales or new whimsical ones—are they compelling? charismatic? take notes.
technically, i don’t have to be the one doing the recording, though i will be doing so for purposes of facilitating dialogue, or well, monologue; but longtime couples will work splendidly also, i predict.
