Phil McClurkin, Porter’s Music Company

Phil McClurkin, owner of Porter’s Music Co., Inc., 530 S. Main St., brings a background of professional and practical experience to his customers.

McClurkin, a graduate of the University of Missouri, served as a district sales manager for Kimball Piano and Organ Co. for ten years and as a professional musician before acquiring the Porter Music Co. of Findlay and Lima nine years ago.

Porter’s, the oldest music store in Ohio, offers a complete line of pianos, organs, band instruments, stereo equipment, guitars and amplifiers.

Brand names include Hammond, Kimball, Yamaha, Steinway, Chickering, Kincaid, Everett, Kohler & Campbell, Conn, Selmer, Slingerland, Kustom, Sony, Fisher, Marantz, Ampeg, Akai, Fender, Gibson, Sunn, Acoustic and Ludwig.

Phil is aided in the operation of the store by employees Doug Christlieb, James Frey Jr., Robert Nash and Cheryl Donnell.

In addition to the fine musical instruments and equipment, the store offers a rental plan for instruments, pianos and organs and has professional instruction available.
