Drive-In Theater To Open April 29 | Tentative Date Set By Columbus Owners

Construction on the new Findlay Drive-In theater is progressing rapidly and Herbert Solomon, secretary treasurer of the K. S. and D. Theaters, Inc., said yesterday the opening date has been tentatively set for April 25.

The K. S. and D. Theaters, Inc., of Columbus, which is constructing the outdoor theater Is made up of H. J. Knight, president, J. B. Knight, vice-president, Herbert Solomon, secretary-treasurer and Dean Dennis who Is in charge of construction.

Mr. Dennis was born and reared in Rawson. He graduated from Rawson high school left there in 1932. His father, the late L. C. Dennis operated a grocery there for some 20 years and his mother still resides in Rawson.

The other three men are Columbus residents.

Mr. Solomon, who will be manager of the Findlay Drive-In theater, said yesterday he would move his wife and 15-month-old son, Robbie, to Findlay if housing facilities permitted.

THE THEATER is located just west of Findlay with the entrance on the West Sandusky street road. 📍

It can also be seen from the lest Main Cross street road.

Eleven ramps which will accommodate 500 cars are being prepared. 🚙X500

Each post will have two speakers and a shielded light, a new feature, which will help patrons who one to leave their cars go over 54×30 foot building which will be used for restrooms, refreshment stand and projection booth.

A feature of the refreshment stands will be free bottle-warming service for parents who bring small children. 🍼

Cold drinks, coffee, popcorn and hot dogs will be sold. 🧋🍿🥤🌭

The steel framework and part of the transite board has been erected for the screen which will he one of the largest in the mid-west, according to Mr. Solomon.
